Upvc door handle broken spinning round.

The door handle will not lift when the door is closed. On upvc door handles there is a connecting bar from one handle through the door to the other handle. Upvc door handles spins round and door wont lock. This could be either a faulty set of handles or a broken locking system.

My key turns but the handles just spin and the door will not open.
