Sensor power reconnect the sensor to its power supply. Disconnect your chamberlain garage door opener from the garage door by pulling the emergency release handle down and back towards the garage door. If you do not hear a click coming from the motor housing then the relay on the circuit board is bad. Manually lift the garage door and release it when it is opened halfway when the door is appropriately balanced it will neither move up or down but stay in place supported by the springs.

A common cause of a malfunctioning garage door sensor is lack of power supply. Look for small led lights on the sensors. If you hear a click replace the light socket. The clicking noise you are looking for is the sound that comes from the relay on the circuit board.

This does not apply to garage door openers that use a work light that is separate from the garage door opener. Hopefully one of these options worked for you.
